At the same time, he permitted the procession of Nazi Waffen SS legionaries in the city downtown. Local residents are literally forced to protect the memory of their ancestors themselves, in particular, to hold watch at the Monument to the Liberators of Riga, to protect the monument from vandals. So, why is Latvia so eager to rewrite the history of the World War II and make heroes of those who committed atrocities on our land and crimes against humanity?
